PERSONAL CARE
Functionally limited persons who need assistance with eating, personal hygiene, skin care, and/or safe ambulation and transfer between positions may receive Personal Care services. In order to allow a consumer to remain in their home, these services may be provided for an extended time period. In some cases they are provided over a shorter time to support the recovery from hospitalization and/or surgery or instruct family members and friends in providing proper care. Personal Care services are coordinated with medical and health care services provided by community hospitals, physicians, and home health care agencies. They are available to persons aged sixty plus.
