PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF AGING WAIVER PROGRAM (PDA Waiver)
The PDA Waiver Program is designed for people aged 60 and older who choose to receive service in their own home rather than in a nursing home setting. It is commonly called the "Waiver program" because the in-home services are funded through a special waiver of certain Medicaid nursing home regulations for payments of nursing home.
The conditions for participating in the service include:
*Be age 60 or older
*Require the level of care of a nursing home
*Choose community based services rather than a Nursing Home.
*Meet Medicaid financial requirements or have income of no more than $1,911.00 per month and no more than $8,000.00 in assets.
