SENIOR VOLUNTEERS

Senior volunteers work to support the delivery of services offered through government funding. Volunteer services are included in the development of a consumer care plan, so that they can be combined with any other services received. Volunteers help assist older adults through the Apprise Program. Many persons who are in need of transportation that cannot be scheduled through the Somerset County Transportation Program are served by volunteer escort drivers. Volunteers also strengthen the activities in senior community centers.
