	The “SENIOR NEWS” newsletter is a  monthly publication that contains a schedule of monthly activities and a monthly lunch menu for the Meyersdale Senior Community Center as well as the other six centers located in Somerset County.

DIRECTIONS?Text Box: CENTER HISTORY 

	The Meyersdale Senior Community Center was established in 1971 and is located in the same building as the Adult Day Care. 
	Currently, the Meyersdale Senior Community Center, which is located in the heart of Meyersdale is near the Somerset County Fairgrounds and the Pennsylvania Maple Festival for visitors to attend.
	Seniors travel from the surrounding towns of Berlin, Garrett, Meyersdale and Rockwood.


ABOUT THE CENTER

	The Meyersdale Senior Community Center is operated by the Area Agency on Aging of Somerset County and is managed by Senior Center Manager Paul Bittner. 
	
	The center has kitchen facilities available for small scheduled functions and well maintained  restrooms.  The parking lot offers ample parking and is well lit for safety during the evening hours.  
	
	Somerset County Transportation is available through Tableland, Inc. daily by calling (814) 445-9628 or 1-800-452-0241.

	You will find friendship, learning opportunities, and volunteer opportunities to brighten your daily routine.  There are many different activities going on daily to suit a variety of tastes and many different classes offered to learn a new skill.  
	There is much laughter, singing, and wholesome fellowship to enjoy among other visitors. 
	The Nutrition Department prepares delicious meals and serves hot lunch daily.
