	The “SENIOR NEWS” newsletter is a monthly publication that contains a schedule of monthly activities and a monthly lunch menu for the Confluence Senior Community Center as well as the other six centers located in Somerset County.  
	If you would like to receive “SENIOR NEWS”,  please contact the Area Agency on Aging of Somerset County at (814) 443-2681 or (800) 452-0825 or the Confluence Senior Community Center at (814) 395-5117 to be placed on  the mailing Text Box: From 281 S:  Stay on 281 South, through town.  After crossing the big bridge at the Casselman River make a right turn on Robert Brown Road, the first road to your right.  This will take you to River Road, an automatic right.  Go two blocks on River Road and make a right onto Heinbaugh Street.  Go straight ahead on Heinbaugh Street for two blocks.  This will bring you back to the bank of the Casselman River. Turn right on our lane.  You will see the center from there, nestled near the river. 

From 281 N:  Coming in from 281 North, pass the entrance to the Yough Dam.  Look for Robert Brown Road, it will be the last left before the Casselman River Bridge. Follow the remaining italicized directions above.

From 523 N:  As entering Confluence, make a left turn onto 281 S.  Go to the first right hand turn after the Bridge, Robert Brown Road.  Follow remaining italicized directions above.

	Currently the Confluence Senior Community Center is located in a very scenic setting near hiking and biking trails,  the Youghegheny Dam campsites and more.

	Seniors also travel from the surrounding towns including Rockwood, Kingwood, Ursina, Harnedsville, Listonburg, Markleton and Addison. 

ABOUT THE CENTER

	The Confluence Senior Community Center is operated by the Area Agency on Aging of Somerset County and is managed by Senior Center Manager Celeste Meck.	
	The center has kitchen facilities available for small scheduled functions in addition to well maintained  restrooms.  The parking lot offers ample parking and is well lit for safety during the evening hours.

	You will find friendship, learning opportunities, and volunteer opportunities to brighten your daily routine.  There are many different activities going on daily to suit a variety of tastes and many different classes offered to learn a new skill.  
	There is much laughter, singing, and wholesome fellowship to enjoy among other visitors. 
	The Nutrition Department prepares delicious meals and serves hot lunch daily.
